Kanye West Cant Tell Me Nothing

Kanye West Cant Tell Me Nothing

Kanye Omari West (born June 8, 1977 in Atlanta, Georgia) is a Grammy
award winning rapper, producer, author, designer and singer.

He began making beats and rapping in the early 90s in Chicago, IL,
United States when he formed the rap group GO GETTERS with Chicago
natives GLC and Really Doe. He later gained nationwide popularity in
New York when he began producing tracks for artists such as Jay-Z,
Twista, Mase, Talib Kweli and Alicia Keys.

In 2004 (after being pushed aside by many record companies who felt
he wasn’t a marketable hip hop artist), he managed to release his
debut solo album, The College Dropout on Roc-a-Fella Records. The
album received critical acclaim, defining the style for which West
would become known: “wordplay” and heavy sampling of 70s soul and rnb
tracks. He is also known for his politically-charged rhymes and
controversial behavior both inside and outside the realms of music.

He has since released three more albums, all of which
(his fourth to a lesser extent) have received numerous awards,
high commercial success and critical acclaim. Late Registration (2005);
Graduation (2007); and his current album, 808s & Heartbreak (2008).

Pachebel Canon In D Major

Pachebel Canon In D Major

"Pachelbel" redirects here. For other uses, see Pachelbel (disambiguation).

Pachelbel's autograph signature from his 1695 letter to Gotha city authorities.
Johann Pachelbel ( /ˈjoʊhɑːn ˈpækəlbɛl/ or /ˈpɑːkəlbɛl/;[1] German:
[ˈjoːhan ˈpaxɛlbəl][2][3] or [ˈpaxəlbɛl], or [paˈxɛlbəl];[citation needed]
baptised September 1, 1653 – buried March 9, 1706)[4] was a German Baroque
composer, organist and teacher, who brought the south German organ tradition
to its peak. He composed a large body of sacred and secular music, and his
contributions to the development of the chorale prelude and fugue have
earned him a place among the most important composers of the middle
Baroque era.[5]
Pachelbel's music enjoyed enormous popularity during his lifetime;
he had many pupils and his music became a model for the composers
of south and central Germany. Today, Pachelbel is best known for the
Canon in D, the only canon he wrote – although a true canon at the
unison in three parts, it is often regarded more as a passacaglia,
and it is in this mode that it has been arranged and transcribed
for many different media. In addition to the canon, his most
well-known works include the Chaconne in F minor, the Toccata
in E minor for organ, and the Hexachordum Apollinis, a set of
keyboard variations.[6]
Pachelbel's music was influenced by southern German composers,
such as Johann Jakob Froberger and Johann Kaspar Kerll,
Italians such as Girolamo Frescobaldi and Alessandro Poglietti,
French composers, and the composers of the Nuremberg tradition.
He preferred a lucid, uncomplicated contrapuntal style that
emphasized melodic and harmonic clarity. His music is less
virtuosic and less adventurous harmonically than that of
Dieterich Buxtehude, although, like Buxtehude, Pachelbel
experimented with different ensembles and instrumental
combinations in his chamber music and, most importantly,
his vocal music, much of which features exceptionally rich
instrumentation. Pachelbel explored many variation forms and
associated techniques, which manifest themselves in various
diverse pieces, from sacred concertos to harpsichord suites.

How to use Auto-Tune (add mic)

How to use Auto-Tune (add mic)

\

You may assume that it takes a masterful engineer and a lot of
money in hard effects to get that autotuned sound, but that’s
not the case: using only a few steps and a simple plugin you
will be well on your way. In this tutorial we’ll go one step
further and show you how to create an autotuning effect that
sounds as good as the pros.
This tutorial assumes basic knowledge of VST effects and FL Studio.
You will need Antares AutoTune VST or a similar autotuning VST
to perform this effect correctly, and of course, a microphone
that is able to record into FL Studio. Besides that plugin,
I will be using the effects packaged with FL Studio
to finish shaping the sound.

Jay Z On to the Next One

Jay Z On to the Next One

The art references in the visuals of Jay-Z’s new
"On to the Next One" video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM1RChZk1EU,
(including Dan Flavin, Damian Hirst, Robert Mapplethorpe,
Kara Walker, and Jeff Koons) are not his first. Jay-Z’s
been making art-world references for years. He's even
mentioned Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat in his rhymes.

In “Ain’t I,” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HB7L4B5fxIE)
with the refrain bragging “I'm a hustlers hustler /
A gangsters gangster,” he adds:

I got Warhols on my halls walls!
I got Basquiats in the lobby of my spot!

Jay-Z is not the only one. Along with Jay-Z, Kanye West
and Pharrell Williams have also included fashionable modern
art pieces in their videos. Swizz Beatz also rapped about
collecting Basquiats in “That Oprah”

Boy, get lost
My new Basquiat
H.O.V know what that cost

But Weiner also claims that for Jay-Z it is more than
ostentatiously displaying his wealth. He suggests Jay-Z sees
Hirst, Murakami, and Basquiat as kind of “kindred spirits.”
Whereas Murakami and Hirst make art that is largely about the
markets they exist in, “Jay-Z seems to feel a kinship of a
different sort with Jean-Michel Basquiat.”

In one of his freestyle raps, Jay-Z says that he is
"inspired by Basquiat,” and put the artist in a list
of fallen icons. “In this company,” says Weiner, “Basquiat
figures both as a civil rights hero—a type to whom Jay-Z often
compares himself—and a cautionary tale.”

In this "Grammy Family" freestyle, Jay-Z rapped: "Every
step you take they remind you, you ghetto." This is also
a feeling Jean-Michel often had, being a breakthrough
black artist into the heart of the art world,
(with the market hyping and clambering for his work),
but constantly sensitive to the racism of the same art world.

Weiner also quotes some Jay-Z lyrics appropriate to Basquiat’s
life, and his own:

Game stays the same, the name changes

So it's best for those not to overdose on being famous.

Weiner notes that "Jean-Michel Basquiat is the only black
art star to really penetrate the hip-hop airspace, at least
as explicit references go". Although Weiner did not mention it,
Wyclef Jean read passages from Basquiat’s interviews and poetry
for the Brooklyn Museum exhibition in 2005. In an interview with
Vibe, rapper Kayne West said of his own work on Love Lockdown,
“You just do a Basquiat painting over the whole test. And sure,
every answer is wrong, but look, it makes a beautiful picture.”

Slim Thug Welcome to Houston

Slim Thug Welcome to Houston

An imposing figure with a voice to match,
Slim Thug had been dropping in for guest verses --
on mixtapes and other artists' albums -- for several
years before making his full-length debut through the
Neptunes' Star Trak label. Based out of the northern
part of Houston, the MC fell in with Swisha House's
Michael Watts and established a following in short time,
which had a lot to do with his business instincts --
mixtapes released on his own Boss Hogg Outlawz label
circulated throughout the region. (He also acquired a
couple record stores and became involved with real estate.)
Already Platinum, distributed by Geffen, sustained several
release-date delays before its July 2005 street date,
and featured production work from the Neptunes and

Young Jeezy Trap or Die Remake

Young Jeezy Trap or Die Remake

Young Jeezy might have the most limited delivery of any A-list rapper, an aging-attack-dog wheeze that he uses to bulldoze through tracks, hardly ever varying cadence or intensity. But he also has arguably the best ear for beats of any of his contemporaries, which turns his handicap into an asset more often than anyone could've imagined. Jeezy likes his tracks to be huge, oppressive things, their heavy gothic melodies only underscoring the titanic chaos of the drums. That lends him an urgency; he must really have some shit to say if he's willing to scream over that insanity. On his last album, 2008's The Recession, Jeezy found a loose unifying concept that channeled all his strengths into something better, turning him into a voice for the anxiety about the then-nosediving markets. Among other things, that was a smart way out of the endless drug-talk that his previous records had threatened to turn into cliche. But now he's back with the sequel to the mixtape that first put him on the radar, talking that same old drug-talk once again. And guess what? It still sounds pretty great.

For the first 10 or so tracks of Trap or Die II, Jeezy's in rare form, finding tracks denser and more feverish than anything he's ever rapped over. Drum patterns frantically jackhammer each other, trebley synth figures erupt out nowhere, and even the tracks that sample old-school soul seem to be almost entirely horn-stab. It's severe, physical music, almost a circa-2010 Southern gothic take on the Bomb Squad's dizzying barrage. It might be no accident that the two strongest songs here are called "Insane" and "Lose My Mind". The latter is, incredibly enough, Jeezy's new single-- a bold move, considering that the thing can make you feel like you've got voices in your head screaming at you. Jeezy and guest Plies come almost completely unhinged, screaming hoarse self-aggrandizement over what sounds like a symphony composed for car-alarms.

But Jeezy doesn't keep that energy up for long. Like a lot of mixtapes, Trap or Die II is too long, but unlike most, it's too long in a neat and orderly way, with almost all the strongest tracks front-loaded into the tape's first half. After that, Jeezy starts to relent, cranking out decent but unmemorable tracks that just seem to take up space. "Hood Politics" and "Go Hard" and "My Tool" reiterate the same motivational medication talk that Jeezy's done hundreds of times before, usually better. The hooks fall flat. "Ride Wit Me" somehow manages not to turn its Scarface and Trick Daddy guest-spots into gold. By the time the tape ends, you're exhausted. But once you delete the last half from your iTunes, you've got an EP-length release of ride-out music as fiery and visceral as anything you're likely to hear this year.

Guide Review - Song Review - Lil Wayne's "Drop The World" (Feat. Eminem)

Cue the cinematic theme music. This is a monumental hip-hop event. Lil Wayne and Eminem, two hip-hop titans clash on "Drop The World," a track off Weezy's eternally delayed Rebirth album. Both MCs seize the opportunity to pound their chests and tout the prestigious cachet that others could only envy. Wayne holds his own, but he needed two verses to do it. Eminem manages to steal the spotlight with just one verse, following up his stellar performance on "Forever" with yet another masterfully crafted verse.
Wayne kicks off "Drop The World" with some of his finest rhymes of the year, "I got ice in my vein/ Blood in my eyes/ Hate in my heart/ Love on my mind/ I seen nights full of pain/ Days of the same/ You keep the sunshine/ Save me the rain." But the track takes a downward spiral when the chorus kicks in. "I'mma pick the world up and I'mma drop it on your f--ckin' head." I think we have a winner in the Unintentionally Hilarious Chorus of the Year category.
Eminem breathes life back into the track with a ferocious verse. "One way or another I'mma make these f--kin' haters believe," Em raps as guitar licks strum in the background. ""I'mma f--k around in this b-tch and roast everybody/ Sleep on me, that pillow is where you head'll lie permanently, b-tch/ It's beddy-bye/ This world is my Easter egg/ Prepare to die!"

Lyrics:
[Lil Wayne]
I got ice in my veins,
Blood in my eyes,
Hate in my heart,
Love in my mind,
I seen nights full of pain,
Days are the same,
You keep the sunshine,
Save me the rain,
I search but never find,
Hurt but never cry,
I work and forever try,
But I'm cursed so never mind,
And it's worse but better times,
Seems further and beyond,
The top gets higher the more that I climb,
The spot gets smaller, and I get bigger,
Try'na get me where I fit in,
No room for a nigga but soon,
For a nigga it be on motha'fucka' 'cause
All this bullshit has made me strong, motha'fucka'.
[Chorus]
So I pick the world up and I'ma drop it on your fuckin' head,
Yeah, bitch I'ma pick the world up,
And I'ma drop it on your fuckin' head,
Yeah, and I can die now, rebirth motha'fucka',
Hop up in my spaceship and leave earth motha'fucka',
I'm gone, motha'fucka', I'm gone.
[Verse 2 - Lil Wayne]
I know what they don't wanna' tell you,
Just hope you're heaven sent, and ya' hell proof,
I'll wa-walk up in the world and cut the lights off,
And confidence is a stain they can't wipe off,
Huh, my word is my pride,
But wisdom is bleak and that's a word from the wise,
Served to survive, murder and bribe,
And when it got too heavy I put my burden aside..
[Eminem]
It hurts, but I never show this pain you'll never know
If only you could see just how lonely and how cold
And frostbit I've become, my back's against the wall
When push come to shove, I just stand up and scream "Fuck 'em all"
Man, it feels like these walls are closing in
This roof is caving in, up its time to raise it then
Your days are numbered like pages in
My book of rhymes, got 'em cookin', boy
This crooked mind of mine got 'em all
Shook and scared to look in my eyes
I stole that fuckin' clock, I took the time and I
Came up from behind
And pretty much snuck up
And butt-fucked this game up
Better be careful when you bring my name up
Fuck this fame, that ain't what
I came to claim but the game
Ain't gonna be the same on the day that I leave it
But I swear one way or another I'ma make these fuckin' haters believe it
I swear to God, won't spare the rod
I'm a man of my word, so your fuckin' heads better nod
Or I'ma fuck around in this bitch and roast everybody!
Sleep on me, that pillow is where your head'll lie
Permanently, bitch, it's beddy-bye
This world is my Easter egg, yeah! prepare to die
My head is swole, my confidence is up
This stage is my pedestal
I'm unstoppable, incredible
Hulk, you're trapped in my medicine ball
I could run circles around you so fast your fuckin' head'll spin, dog
I'll split your cabbage and your lettuce and olives
I'll fuckin'
[Chorus]
Pick the world up and I'ma drop it on your fuckin' head,
Yeah, bitch I'ma pick the world up,
And I'ma drop it on your fuckin' head,
Yeah, and I can die now, rebirth motha'fucka',
Hop up in my spaceship and leave earth motha'fucka',
I'm gone, motha'fucka', I'm gone.
